Apologia
Apologia is a family-owned corporation whose mission is to help homeschooling families learn, live, and defend the Christian faith. We publish books, resources, and curricula to help homeschool students cultivate a biblically sound approach to all thought and experience and to help parents create an environment of learning best suited to their children.
Classical Conversations
Classical Conversations supports homeschooling parents by cultivating the love of learning through a Christian worldview in fellowship with other families. We believe there are three keys to a great education: classical, Christian, and community. When we say “classical,” we are referring to the three stages of learning—grammar, dialectic, and rhetoric—which guide our programs, tutors, parents, and students.
Demme Learning
Demme Learning is an independent family-owned and operated publishing company. Based in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Demme Learning has been providing innovative learning solutions for homeschoolers, parents and small group learning environments since 1990.
Home School Foundation
The Home School Foundation—HSLDA’s charitable arm—seeks to bless homeschoolers and the cause of homeschooling. We provide financial assistance to homeschooling widows, single parents, families with special needs children, and victims of natural disasters, and to homeschool organizations in the United States and in foreign countries.
Home School Legal Defense Association
Home School Legal Defense Association defends and advances (1) the constitutional right of parents to direct their children’s education and (2) family freedoms. A nonprofit advocacy organization, we provide legal advice and representation to our member families, promote homeschool-friendly state and federal legislation, and offer resources to encourage and support all homeschoolers.
Institute for Excellence in Writing
The Institute for Excellence in Writing (IEW) equips teachers and teaching parents with methods and materials which will aid them in training their students to become confident and competent communicators and thinkers. Using the four language arts—listening, speaking, reading, and writing—IEW methods have been proven to be effective for students of all ages and levels of ability, including those who are gifted, have special needs, or are English language learners.
The Old Schoolhouse
The mission of The Old Schoolhouse® Magazine Company is to produce high-quality, biblically based, practical publications and other resources for the home educator while introducing other products and services that will strengthen, support, and challenge the family both spiritually and academically as they impact the world for Christ.
